Here are ten tips to help you make sure you give the best project presentation  possbile (Haz click aqui para ver la versión en Español):

  1. Use but don’t abuse your visuals – Usually your visuals are posters, charts, or even a PowerPoint presentation. Whatever your visuals are, keep them simple and don’t put too many words on them. The audience isn’t there to read your slides; they are there to listen to you present.
  2. Look at the audience – Keep eye contact.  If you don’t do this then you are just talking to yourself. This can result in a lack of attention from your audience. Also, don't look at your teacher while speaking.
  3. Show your personality – It doesn’t matter if you are presenting to a bunch of people or to a big crowd, you need to show some character when presenting.
  4. Make them laugh – Although you want to educate or inform your audience, you need to make them laugh as well.
  5. Talk to your audience, not at them –You need to interact with your audience and create a conversation. An easy way to do this is to ask them questions as well as letting them ask you questions, specially at the end of your presentation.
  6. Keep your hands out of your pockets and show some movement –Keep your hands visible and feel comfortable using them. Show some gestures or walk around a bit. Remember, no one likes watching a stiff.
  7. Know your subject and your topic  Do your research before beginning the presentation.
  8. Rehearse – Usually the best place to do this in front of your mirror, because you can see your body language during the presentation.
  9. Watch what you say – You usually don’t notice when you say “uhm”, “ah” or even “este...”, or any other useless word frequently, but the audience does.
  10. Differentiate yourself – If you  do something unique compared to all the other presenters the audience will remember you, so make sure you do something memorable.
Final Tip:

Ask your teacher in advance – Ask any questions to the teacher about your project, but days before the presentation, not on the presentation day.
